MACNOSE·CAFÉ
Since 2007, MacNose has been the cultural heartbeat of Soshanguve.
Where legends were born and every night became a memory.
In the heart of Soshanguve, a dream was born. MacNose Café opened its doors in 2007 with a simple but powerful vision — to create a space where community, food, and music would converge into something extraordinary.
What started as a neighbourhood café quickly became the cultural cornerstone of Short Left. A place where strangers became friends, where local artists found their stage, and where South African soul was celebrated in every plate and every beat.
"MacNose isn't just a café — it's a feeling. Every time I walk through those doors, I'm home."
— Thabo M., Regular since 2008"I've celebrated every major milestone of my life at MacNose. It's woven into the fabric of who I am."
— Nomsa K., SoshanguveOver 500+ live sets.
Decades of unforgettable nights.
Music is the lifeblood of MacNose. From Afro House to Kwaito, from Amapiano to Jazz — the decks at MacNose have witnessed the evolution of South African sound.
Over 500 live sets. Hundreds of nights where the bass shook the walls and the crowd moved as one. This is where culture happens.
Every dish at MacNose is a love letter to South African flavour. From slow-braised meats to fresh coastal seafood — our kitchen carries the soul of the streets, elevated to the plate.

Twenty years in, MacNose is not slowing down. We're expanding our vision — bigger events, richer experiences, new chapters in the story of Soshanguve's most iconic venue. The best is still to come.
